Netflix 'challenges'

Ok so eventually installed Neflix by changing region to United States. Installed app and logged into my account. When I login for the first time it says I must try again. Second times works a charm. In the main menu now. Click on something to watch and a little loading circle spins to around 3% only to be greeted with error 'The Netflix service is not available on your device'. Checked Network everything is green for go!

Tried on my iPhone app works perfectly. Try to cast nothing happens. When I check back on TV it recognizes the partially played episode. When I click on it I still get the 'The Netflix service is not available on your device'

Getting gatvol now!

Changed your region? for what? Your TV's app store?

If you want to install the App on your TV, you don't need to change your region - it's in the samsung/android app store. (and LG/etc stores too I suppose)
Just install the SA version of netflix.

Then once you have that running, only then do you go and change your region via DNS or whatever on your router (if you want the US netflix)

That's just the thing,in order for me to install app I need to change the region to the US, something I have been trying to do for the last week because there is no SA version of Netflix. Netflix is not available in the local Samsung App Store.

it is on mine? for a while already now.
 
What model TV? You shouldn't need to change the region any longer...even though that should also work anyway.

Sauron the Samsung UA48JA6000. Tried every work around possible. Just not working. Samsung customer service appalling!

Can't find it there. I'm making the assumption that if it is not available on the ZA smart hub app list it will not show up on TV.
 
Netflix works finally. If anyone is still interested.
