Netflix !! Confussing

Hi Everyones.

So we have been house sitting the in laws house, and they have netflix.

But please assist, can you login somewhere online and request for shows? - Or do you only get the shows that is on there.

As we want to get it for our house as well, but seems like it is like DSTV paying for shows that we already watched. And there is nothing new on it?

Netflix is a season, plus an episode or more, behind what is showing in the USA, or whatever region you are watching. That is why there are no advertisements on Netflix. To newer, or more current, shows, you subscribe to Hulu. There you will be an episode behind, but will have advertisements. You can opt out of ads, but that will cost you extra.

All this dependent on which broadcaster etc Netflix or Hulu has a deal with, Fox, HBO etc...
