Been using Netflix for almost a year. Using CellC 50meg fibre line, ethernet-linked to X96 Mini Android box. Last week I started getting error message 3.2 stating "We're having a problem connecting to Netflix. Please try later or try and alternative network connection. (3.1)". Troubleshooting blames either VPN or proxies - I have none. Eventually Netflix tells me it is because we are running IPv4, and Netflix requires IPv6.
All my other devices connected to same router still plays Netflix. If I link x96 box to my cell phone as hotspot, then Netflix works. Weird! Netflix's refuses to answer or assist in any further way, just stating that is you run IPv4, you MAY encounter this problem, and the fact that my other devices are still running is according to them just because their system haven't "picked them up yet".

CellC is saying they don't support IPv6. So, basically I am screwed!

Is someone bull-%^& me?? Anyway, more of a theoretical debate, because I refuse to give my money to such a pathetic and unhelpful company - cancelled my sub immediately!

Been getting the same error on my Roku. Does it mean I have to get a new modem?

There is no way that Netflix would switch to support ipv6 only at this moment.. the internet is not quite ready to support ipv6 only..

You trolling or something? I remember an article where Netflix is actually treating IPv6 users as proxy's and blocking them. Why will they now be all about IPv6?
EX....that you?

- cancelled my sub immediately!

Good, you showed them, for sure

Cheap Mygica 495x I got.
Got a early Samsung smart TV model. Maybe the type of streaming device is the issue. Going to try rebooting the Roku tomorrow and see if it solves the Netflix connection problem.

My network at home doesn't use IPv6...no Netflix issues across PC's, tablet (Nexus 7), Nvidia Shield.

No issue here. Busy watching The Boys as I type this. I am not using an IPv6.

have you tried netflix on your phone or pc over your internet connection?

The Netflix accessed through the X96 mini was a mobile SD version , right ? Now you have issues on this cheap , rooted , Chinese box ? Magisk it then.

Either way , Netflix can be troublesome ...

If you go to an ATM and you get a message insufficient funds - and no one else is having an issue - does that mean the bank is dying?

Netflix isn't so troublesome on my Smart TV, or any Android certified media box I've used.

I like how OP pretty much worked it out to either his ISP or his box, yet Netflix is the bad guy here.

Been having trouble with Netflix for a while now on an Apple TV 4K. Quality gets really bad to the point that it starts buffering. Happens with all titles. No such issues streaming Hulu for example (or Showmax & DSTv but their both local). I got in touch with Netflix only to get the following response "our engineers are aware of the problem & you should use another device to stream in the meantime". Any other Apple TV users experiencing the same issues?

Hisense with Netflix installed, Mii box, remix pc and Huawei phones, no issue
DSTV no issue, but showmax - dont even go there. lol

Don't have any need to watch anything on Showmax, it is installed, and setup, just not used. Not by me, the Wife or Kids.
