My husband watches mainly news, movies and history programmes.

Would Netflix be worthwhile as a replacement? Do they have any news channels?

I get my news mainly from websites. 10 years ago TV. My daughter watches youtube mainly and the rest Netflix. Smart tv and tablet allows her to select her own content. Wife watches Netflix.

They don't have any channels as per DSTV or SABC ie live TV.

It's all pre-recorded video on demand, so movies, cartoons, series, documentaries etc
