Thanks, I'm trying to limit the stream to the same resolution as my TV.
I have a 1080p TV + NVIDIA shield.
There is a bug on Youtube TV when "auto" is enable, youtube streams at 4k even though the output is limited to 1080p - Seen on Stats for Nerds - I've change from Auto to 1080p.
I think that Netflix is doing the same based on the traffic used on the line - Looking for info from Netflix App to confirm
I believe "Test Patterns" on Netflix gives you a rough idea.
I cancelled my Netflix a week ago, I'll wait til month end.

Connect wired keyboard (I think wireless would also work) to the back of your Android TV device (e.g. Shield TV). Press F4 or F8 to bring up Netflix video stats.
Alternative method:
1. Install Hackers Keyboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard&hl=en_ZA ) and Android TV Remote Control (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tv.remote&hl=en_ZA) on your Android Phone.
2. Temporarily set Hackers Keyboard as your default keyboard through your phone settings.
3. While watching Netflix Open "Android TV Remote Control" and select the your Android TV device.
4. Once connected, click the keyboard icon on the top right corner of the "Android TV Remote Control" app.
6. Now the Hackers Keyboard pops up, select the Fn key located in the bottom row to bring up function keys.
7. F4 or F8 bring up Netflix video stats.

Thanks - "Test Patterns" shows the information I was looking for.
Shows 1080p ~5Mbps (depending on fps)
Test Patterns shows ~5Mbps
iftop on rpi4 router shows ~5Mbps
I found something after reactivating Netflix today, I had cancelled because I was only getting 480p. So I logged in, went into Account, scroll down to Profile & Parental Controls, clicked on wife's profile and saw Playback Settings and I saw the profile was set to High Quality. Went into my profile and it was set to Low, simply changed it back High and uhd was back.
So my guess would be;
Low - 480p
Medium - 720p
High - 1080p - 2160p
