Entire Netflix US & SA & ShowMax catalogues

MyBB and other sites keep doing articles comparing services by saying "service X has 1000 items, service Y has 1500", which is a pretty meaningless comparison.
So I've put together all the content from Netflix US, SA, and ShowMax into one table so you can easily compare them, and see which has the stuff you watch.

Netflix says it will do more to stop customers from bypassing country restrictions

Netflix just announced it'll be taking new steps to stop customers from streaming content that's only available outside their own country. "In coming weeks, those using proxies and unblockers will only be able to access the service in the country where they currently are," David Fullagar, Netflix's VP of content delivery architecture, wrote in a blog post. "We are confident this change won’t impact members not using proxies." The practice of using VPNs, proxies, and unblocking tools to get around viewing restrictions has become fairly popular among technical users and opens up access to content that's not be available for streaming in your own region.

"We have a ways to go before we can offer people the same films and TV series everywhere," Fullagar admits. Netflix says it's working to get there — and most of its new original shows will be available globally on day one. But licensed films and TV shows pose a bigger challenge. Fullagar says Netflix fully expects to reach that point eventually. "In the meantime, we will continue to respect and enforce content licensing by geographic location."

The company isn't outlining its new and "evolving" methods for detecting proxies. It could be as simple as blocking IP addresses associated with popular VPN and proxy services, similar to the way Tor is sometimes blocked. So if you experience a sudden interruption in your Netflix country hopping, now you know why. The move comes a week after Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced a massive global expansion at CES 2016.

Yep, and I can see a lot of people cancelling their service if they can't get the full catalogue!
 
Very cool infographic roguemat! Please tell me you didn't patiently sit there and note down the run time for every single episode on all of Netflix US and SA and Showmax 0.o

I'm definitely surprised that Showmax's content library trumps Netflix SA's. Poking around on Netflix SA though I have been disappointed in the number of seasons of TV shows available, and how so many of the movies on the US version aren't available here (never mind TV series). I fully intend to cancel my subscription at the end of my free month ... for now I'm just catching up on old Mythbusters episodes lol.

There were only 70k items (movies + individual episodes). I had some rainy days in the holidays ;-)

ShowMax has the advantage that they are focusing on one market I think, plus they likely have all the right connections already indirectly through Multichoice.
When you add Afrikaans items to ShowMax then they have even more too.
(p.s. Someone asked me to also show the Afrikaans shows, so will do that soon)
 
After a few days on Netflix SA's free trial, I've already watched literally every movie that appeals to me even in the slightest. Won't be continuing to a paid subscription.

Have a look at UnoTelly.

NF is more for series than movies though. But UT expands your movie selection quite a bit if you don't mind changing regions all the time.
