The top Netflix package is available in SD. You can request this setting if you don't have unlimited data. Picture is still very good.

Why no comparisons with audio options? Last time I checked everything on Showmax was only offered in stereo.
Because this is nothing other than a thinly veiled attempt to promote Showmax as a viable alternative, as if it were in the same league. A brief mention of picture quality is made to give the impression of a balanced article but there is no real acknowledgement of the shortcomings of the service. That would be counter-productive, after all. Justifying Showmax having less titles overall with many being local etc etc. It contains a link to Showmax - that alone tells us everything we need to know about this content.

The level of intellect they assume their readers possess is actually offensive.

I found it difficult to watch prime video. I don’t know what it is about it but it’s hard to watch. Maybe it’s the content algorithm or something or maybe it’s just the Apple TV experience. I don’t know but I canceled the subscription last month after having it for over a year and only using it a few times.

Also not if you're BS'ing...

Exactly, you need a VPN provider which can put you into another territory. (Express VPN is the one I use as the general consensus is that it is the best for streaming speed and bypassing regional restrictions, but it is expensive).
You might even need a special VPN router if you really want to have maximum options of changing territories easily. Those itself are also not cheap.

Then you need a streaming device which you can connect to with an app. (in my case a Roku), which requires you to have a 'registered address in the US for instance". Not to mention that the Roku itself is not exactly cheap to start off with. I guess you can get other streaming media players, but some of them does not have all the apps you need as there is some competition between providers. So a 'neutral' one like Roku is the best bet.

Then you need to subscribe to said service in US Dollars, thus you need a payment method which allows you to do that.

THEN you can stream with the touch of a button.

So I agree, there is a lot of 'hoops' to jump through and it does all add up in costs at the end of the day if you want things to be as easy as possible.

So I agree, comparing Netflix, Amazon and Showmax is right on point for this article.
