My Netgear 834GTUK has just started to behave strangely. It keeps on rebooting every 10 seconds or so.

I have powered it down, done a hard reset, allowed it to cool down, etc. without any improvement.

When connected only to my PC via a network cable, the PC keeps on losing the connection. I can ping it for a second or two before it resets, so the cable is OK. I cannot telnet or get at the login page as it reboots again.

I say it reboots because the power light goes off, the 4 router port lights come on and the connected and modem lights flash.

Any suggestions?

Upgrade the firmware. If it fails and you are the proud new owner of a netgear brick please note warranties are void. But yes, firmware might help.

one thing you can do is check your power supply, could be failing under load.
had any storms there recently ?

I would be very careful about upgrading firmware if this is the case. Is it still under warranty? If at all possible, swap it out rather than running the risk of killing it completely.

Where can I get a replacement Power supply/adapter, its a 12v 1A
