Netgear D6200 problem

Hi, bought a Netgear D6200 ADSL modem from Incredible Connection, but it wont't connect to the internet(the internet light stays red).When configuring the modem, I get an error message "invalid ISP username or password". However my details are entered correctly. Tested my line with another router, line works fine. Swapped the modem for another, same problem. Telkom technician claims faulty router, (serious 2 faulty new routers), Netgear support claims Telkom might not support the Netgear D6200.

Any help would be appreciated!!
