I bought this modem today (I am not a tech geek, so hope I can explain this properly:cry:) and have noticed a great improvement in the speed on the wifi. However, I live in a double story house and although I can connect iPad and iPhone when I am upstairs and near the router, I am unable to even see the wifi when I am downstairs? I was told by incredible connection that this is 'top of the range' for residential routers and now wonder if I have made a mistake as I cannot connect to it when I am downstairs?

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I should be doing to connect when I am downstairs?

Depending on your house the wifi might never reach even with other routers.

I suggest you lay a network cable from the router to the other floor with another wifi access point to broadcast in a central area where low/no signal.

Or get Ethernet over Powerline wifi adapters, one at the router and other/s where ever there is a power plug to broadcast wifi.
