Netgear d834

Hey guys i purchased the netgear D834 wired router and i cannot acces its control panel and i cannot ping it i type in 192.168.0.1 and nothing so i was wondering those of you with experience could help me out

Go to a command prompt and type ipcofig /all

What IP address shows up as the default gateway?

i think default is 192.168.1.1

My D834 is 192.168.0.1, you typed in your browser correct? Have you done the install?

192.168.0.1 and when i tried to run the install after i got to the detecting internet connection it said i dont have access to the internet but my line is working fine and i think the error is that i have not entered my isp details into the router...yes i have tried to reset

i think default is 192.168.1.1

The default for my Linksys WRT54GL was 192.168.1.1 but the Netgear's is 192.168.0.1

The IP might've been changed, just do an ipconfig as I suggested and see what comes up.

yes i have i think iv tried everything and i could not install because it said i didnt have access to the internet at one of the steps,it also says in the install that there is no router of cabe detected




Edit/update:I got to the install but when i got to the detecting your internet connection bit i get the error no adsl service detected

Have you tried using the usb cable (I think it has a usb port)?

lol everything is connected my usb is in my phone line my power cable lol i know how to setup a router...do you think this one could be faulty?
