I have tried to find out this myself. To date I haven't been able to get PPPoE to work using the Windows XP or 3rd party drivers. I don't think it is possible since the DG814 doesn't support a bridged mode of operation... unless you can get the modem to work with PPP over ATM, which I don't think you can. I might be wrong though. Anyone else know if it is possible with the DG814?
Maybe I dont understand your question correctly but why do you want to use the pppoe interface ?
Just setup the router as a default gw and route all internet traffic via the gateway, this is the setup that I have in my office and it works well.
I know the router setup works, we are just curious as to if the DG814 can work with PPPoE links. So far I have been unsuccesful to get it to work on the DG814, seems it doesn't have a bridge funtion.
Adam beat me 2 it. I have a 834 thats "suppose" to only support router mode. But with the hidden page i have setup my 834 to use bridged mode. It works like a charm
