Hey guys

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this so forgive me if im wrong :)

I use a Netgear834 v3 router for my net connection. I used to use it in bridged mode(possibly not correct term - where you connect manually to your account whenever you want internet access) This is great for my setup as i have 3 people who each have their own accounts living with me.

I have recently got a Galaxy S3 and wanted to get it on the wireless so my Data costs dont skyrocket on the contract, but the only way i can get that working is if i set the Netgear up to permanently connect to an account.

This is where the problem comes in, I cant connect to other accounts over the routers account now, im sure that on some of my friends systems you can, but i cant seem to get it working at all. All account connections fail, although the default account settings work perfectly.

Does anyone have any ideas for me to try out? :)

thanks

If it makes any difference im using a tplink router as a wireless access point. Although i doubt that could be the problem.

On the Netgear you need to enable PPPoE relay, think it was under advanced settings

Just take note that some of the newer models from Netgear do not include that option any more! Like the DGN2200 does not even have bridge mode if I recall correctly. So if you do upgrade in the future, just make sure to do your research properly!
