OK i want to allow incoming echo requests only.
so that I can ping my Ruter from my Office.
I am using DYndns to keep my record up todate.
I do not see any option on the netgear router to allow only incoming piung requests.

Do any one know how to get this done ?
or what Port would the incoming ping use ?
I want to use VNC. i have all the services and firewall settings setup.
but if i enable TCP(any) on the router i suddenly start to get ppl trying to connect to my pc via vnc. sure i got a good password but it is annoying having this messahe pop up that ppl are trying to connect the whole time.

If you check under Advanced - WAN Setup, there should be an option "Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port" - should do the trick. But why do you want to be able to ping it?
