Netgear DG834G v3 DGTEAM Firmware Request!

Hello forumites!

After hearing of a custom firmware upgrade doing wonders for some peeps, I asked about where I could get it.

I was given the following website: http://dgteam.ilbello.com/

When clicking on the link for the DG834G V3 I get an error saying not authorized to view this section. Meh, I think, I'll just have to sign up for an account. Not so, board is "temporarily closed". So I dig a bit and find out it has been the status quo since last year.

Hope this is the "reopened forum" but unfortunately same scenario.

After exhausting my google skills (which are normally quite good) I am having a hard time finding a mirror or download for this particular version of the firmware for my router, so I am here to ask if anyone has this by some miracle or knows of a mirror where I can get me grubby lil paws on it? :)

I am not familiar with this particular firmware. I personally use and love DD-WRT
it's definitely one of the greatest open source FW out there. Tomato is also not bad, but DD-WRT has way more features and support

Yeah they went member's only,there are some mirrors where people have posted some firms but I can for the life of me not recall where :(
 
I've tried their firmware before and found myself reverting back to the Netgear version a week later. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

First router I was lucky with. When I bought my last one, it was down to 2 routers, and I chose the one that had DD-WRT support. Working wonders for me.

I have the DGteam fimware on my 834GT router for years now. Never looked back. The joke is that even Netgear are bringing out routers with the Dgteam firware already installed.

If it is not too large and if you have the spare time would you mind uploading to a filesharing site if possible? Don't want to put you out if it is like 400mb or something crazy, it shouldn't be more than 40mb if the GT version is anything to go by.

I will check it out as my current Netgear version is 4.01.06

Anyone still have DG834V3_V4.01.40_DGTeam_0849.img ?
Can't find it anywhere 😅 (not terribly surprised tbh lol)
Update: Eventually got my hands on it. Sharing here incase anyone wants it
