If your DSLAM supports ADSL2+ modulation, then the modem should've automatically chose it, unless G.Dmt modulation has a better SNR margin.

I have the DGN2200, they very similar, so they should be in the same place.
When u log into the router, under setup, look for ADSL settings.
Look for DSL mode and change that to whatever u want.
