Netgear N600 cannot connect to Telkom DSL

I recently replaced my Netgear N300 with a new N600 and cannot get a DSL connection going to Telkom who is my internet service provider. The DSL light flashed green as if there is no cable between the router and the phone line. Telkom say there is no problem with the line. I have set up correct user name and password etc. Any suggestions please ?

Be sure that your N600 is a v2 and not a v1 modem router. the v1 is completely useless and flawed. Netgear's v2 is a lot more reliable and does not suffer from adsl drops, overheating, wifi drops etc. You should also be on FW V1.1.00.12_1.00.12
