Netgear Orbi or Google WiFi

Hi There, newbie here. I've been checking the latest wireless systems for home and I came along Orbi and Google Wifi. I'm planning to upgrade my old Linksys router with a "smart" one. Orbi is triband while Google is a dual-band which means Orbi is capable of providing better speed performance they say - referenced the Wiredshopper review. Are these devices also called the "traditional" home routers? Looks like they function the same to me, the difference is they include repeaters to ensure coverage in your home. Also they look very nice as furniture. Can anyone validate these based on personal experience?

I have Orbi - happy so far but wouldn’t mind trying Google WiFi - their support just stinks in SA on practically everything

What are your requirements specifically? As in is it greater range of Wifi only - and how much range are you looking for as well? Plug and play or do you want something with more configurability? Are you interested in the SMART home features that say a Google Wifi could provide? Parental management of devices? What mix of wifi and cabled devices do you have / do you forsee having?

All those are good things to consider in the overall decision as they lean towards one or the other solution.
