netgear power supply

anyone know who repairs netgear routers (DG834) in jhb? power seems to be stuffed up. is this a common problem and is it expensvie to repair?- thanx

If it is just the power adaptor that has broken, just get an AC/DC adaptor (like the ones Ellies makes), just set it to 12V and use the correct connector pin and it'll work perfectly.

Does the router light up when you plug it in? If not, start with a generic replacement powersupply, just make sure that you get at least the 1 Amp model, they are about R50.

My netgear got fried over xmas, but I am sure that the adaptor should still work. I live in the East if you are interested

much appreciated dude but will try the generic power supply first (damn petrol will cost me more than the R50 )

the lights do not come on so i guess it must be the power supply
