NetGear - Your Feedback and Ideas Needed =)

Fair enough
Sorry if i sound a tad(tab?) mean - but I have to say it over and over..

I use it all the time, so it detracted from my experience. Plus 4mm of sceen space is hardly a lot.
google chrome doesn't use it. 4mm of screen? google "argued over every pixel" apparently..

Latest Zone Alarm with all the updates. (At work, don't ask)

will check into that, never used that....

Acid Test's are used to check a browsers ability to parse html java script etc to the latest Web Standards. FF3 and Crome pass this (not sure about IE)
Acid Test 3 is already out so you got a lot of work to do :p

ditto, will check.

thanx though.. even if you do find it ****, LOL

didn't you atleast like the links menu? you can add your own you know (links folder, just add bmp's)

and the bandwidth monitor - does it work? no other browser has that.

But it has the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons which I couldn't see with yours. They also maximize space by moving the tabs up to be in line with it.

The links menu didn't appeal to me. What I'm loving these days are the intelligent address bars.

The bandwidth monitor is the best idea by far, but need a lot more geek factor. Like kb used for current page, current page d/l speed. Average of this. Plus it must keep history etc. That would be awesome.

Writing a browser I'm sure is fun and challenging. But if you were thinking along the lines of giving to the community as such, a FF bandwidth monitor plugin would be awesome.

I'll leave my window into the web to the pro's, too many nasties around hey?

Will add it soon - i'm gonna re-design the whole interface over - thinking of addi....actually, i'll keep it a surprise.

i'm thinking of making it VERY intelligent - I don't get how microsoft/FF3 can't implement the simple things:confused: with mine you will be able to JUST type "myadsl" - no "http", no "www", no ".co.za" or ".com" and it will go to http://www.myadsl.co.za. no "error finding page" or whatever.

all i can say is, is "loads of stats coming soon" - Ever wanted to know what ur IP is? go to a site to do it? no more...lol, i will have it built-in.

no thanks.

It uses your IE engine for rendering - I didn't code the Web Rendering Engine from scratch:eek:, so all SSL and stuff are there too. My Browser is basically just a "wrapper";)

So it's a wolf in sheep's clothing :) That's why Acid 2 crashed out so hard
I have IE6 at work...

More like a piece of **** disguised as a cake....lol
but seriously though...IE's engine is quite stable, but I don't think M$ did a good job of their "tab" coding, and all the rest of the "browser itself"

Trust me, this thing will be oozing geek. lol...I might just call it that..."geek"

so far i haven't seen any other browser match my browsers speed when you click home. if others don't believe me, test it yourself.

My home is always set to a blank page and loads pretty quickly with any browser.

Any pop up windows have the IE heading instead of your browser heading.

I know, and this is a problem i'm battleing to overcome...still opens new window links in default browser.... I wanna code a built-in downloader, that doesn't open any windows at all - but havta figure a few things out first...

thanks for the input guys....
