Network cable advice

Can network cable be run in the same conduit as electricity?

Any specific spec of cable required for this application.
 
Running at parallel to electrical cable will cause problems theoretically.
 
No, no, no, just don't do it! It might work for a day, a month or even years but sooner or later it will give you issues.

Just don't do it
 
Ok. Does it still need to be in a conduit inside the partition wall though.
Also what spec? Cat5e or 6. Shielded?

Running it through a conduit is safer than just having it exposed. The spec depends on your use case. I would read up on the differences in both, or post some information regarding how you intend to use it, where and possible conditions we should know.

2 separate applications in 2 separate place.
Office will be for VoIP phones and Internet.

For home. It will be for AV streaming and Internet
