Hi all,

I recently bought a second hand network cabinet to store my ONT, router, NVR (and spare pc).

It came with some extra items - one being a trendnet 24 port patch panel (modular). I am looking for the keystone jacks that I can plug an already terminated rj45 jack into. I can only seem to find the punch down jacks online. I am in Cape Town - any suggestions of where I can find these online?

Whilst I have moved my gear into the unit, my cable management is a mess.

Hi OP,

I understand Linkqage stocks these "pass thru" patch panels, there are more expensive that then traditional punchdown ones but easier to work with.

Thanks let me have a look. I see them used a lot in online videos but struggling to find local stock..

You want the tool-less type that you shut the lid? Rather buy a punch down tool https://scoop.co.za/linkbasic-utp-krone-tool.html

Hi sir. no - its basically a keystone that acts like a coupler. you plug an already terminated cable in the back and has the opening in front.

I do have a punch down tool and as a last resort i will get the punchdown keystones, but looking for something like these but locally sourced..

Ok got you, and while those inline couplers get used all the time, they are not a great idea. What you want is a bad idea X 24. Terminating will be better.

Thanks looks like i will have to consider terminating, going to try one more place.

I only have 10 points at the moment so thought it would be simpler than terminating the ports and would be easier for me to move things around since this is my first rackmount DIY jobbie.
