Sorry, perhaps I wasn't too clear: You can create a DHCP server inside an Active Directory Scope, and only permit specifically authenticated clients (against AD) to get specific IP addresses. The authentication happens seamlessly.

Just get them to create a reservation using your MAC. Problem solved.

I'm not sure that these apps will either appease the übergrüppenführer network admins or even work nicely with AD environments, but maybe look at Mobile Net Switch and MultiNetwork Manager?
