network gaming question

i was wondering

If i have a lan of 8 people, is there anyway i can connect those 8 people to a online server through 1 internet connection
was thinking for ut2004, or any game!!!

any ideas

yea u could basicaly do it with any dsl line. But it is going have 2 be quite a fast line for 8 players.i recommend a 1 meg.

The problem would be not with your 1 meg download rate, but 1 meg and even 4 meg lines only have a 384k upload rate, so 8 people on a FPS might just be too many.

The upload speed may be a problem even on a 1 -4MB connection. Where are you based? If you bring 8 people and I bring 6 people and we organise a few other then we could have a lakker lan session...

You'll need an ADSL router, not a USB one.

We've done 4 computers playing BF2 through one 384 connection with VOIP off, and I think BF2/BF2142 network code is rubbish. Can only play 3 computers playing BF2142 on same conection.
