Network help.

and here I started to look at the D5 rather than the D2, how do you configure and change things on the D5 then?

Using the older UI.

I created a thread about the D7, search my started threads...

I was originally going to go with the D5, but upgraded to the D7 for the web UI, as well as 450Mbps 2.4Ghz and better signal strength.

I saw your thred, presume you are still happy with it? Just a question RE the wifi network, I quickly scrolled through the D5's manual last night and it looks as if it gives you the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz as 2 seprit networks, in other words you choose whether to connect to the one or the other. Is this so or does it only give you one wifi network and automatically switch between 2.4 and 5 depending on your device?

It gives you two separate networks and you choose.

I read reviews, checked out the web UI similator on the TP-link website and read through the manual. Looks like I'm pulling the trigger on the Archer D7 soon.

Firstly let me preface this by saying you can do whatever you want, now on to my question, why? Why would you want to do it like that, just use the Archer for everything, you can save both MWEB and Afrihost accounts on the Archer and it takes 5 seconds to switch between them.

Sorry this is a noob question, where on the Archer would I go to set up a second ISP account to be able to switch between my MWeb and Afrihost accounts?

Log into the Archer with your browser - Advanced - Network - Internet, then you will see the option to add accounts on the right.

I can't find it on the emulator, but I'm sure it will be there. thanks.
Have you considered setting up a PPPoE connection for the second account? It would enable you to easily change between accounts without losing your internet connection.

That's exactly where I pointed him on the GUI.
