Network issues in Cape Town?

I just did some test, if I start a clean session (fresh connect) fire-up my FTP client and start uploading with nothing else running at all I will upload at most 9.6 - 9.8 megabytes and my connection just dies. I have repeated this 5 times to test and its happened everytime with different files to 3 different FTP sites. The connection can do pings, DNS queries but will not download any data through other ports. I don't understand why MTN would kill my connection as it got to 10 megabytes. Anybody else seen similar behaviour?

Not sure what it means but my phone also switches between 3g and 3g+ every 2-3 seconds.

That's it. This is the last MTN bundle I waste because I can't connect. Goodbye MTN. This message posted via Vodacom.
