Network locked router

i have a mweb router but its only locked to mweb .... i try to bridge the connection but it only allows a PPPoe alwayz on connection as the encapsulation (sorry bout the spelling). i really want to bridge the router because i feel if its always on the pc will run automatic updates with the 3rd party software will update and i do not want to switch the router on and off as an option:confused: ...can n e 1 one assist is there no way to flash the firmware of the router so you can bridge it? can any one assist :confused::confused::confused:

run a search for 'mweb router firmware' on the forum, i'm sure that would lead you to more useful infomation. as i understand it you'll need to hack a freely available update to defeat mweb's poor check that makes sure it only aproves nothing newer than their locked firmware.
