Network Notification: Plasmec_MTN_1?

Hi

I'm using a BB 9300 on Vodacom and have received this pop up notice twice today:

Network Notification
Plasmec_MTN_1

The above just has an OK button.

What is it supposed to mean? Never seen it before and now twice since this morning.

Got more notifications - looks like tower names (channel 50 I think). How do I turn it off?

Nevermind, found it:

Option --> Device --> Advanced System Settings --> Cell Broadcast Settings


Weird though that it would suddenly start receiving those messages without me doing anything.
