Hey all, just a quick question. At work we have 2 routers. On one end is the pc's connected to the router and also the adsl line. Then there's a network cable connected to the second router, almost 20 meters away. To that router is connected 7 butchery scales.

Now every time I need to change prices and product names on the scales, I open the program for it, change the prices or whatever, and send it to the scales. The scale program has a screen where all the scales which is connected and switched on, shows online. If they are off, they obviously show offline.

Now every time the last few months when I open the program, they all shows offline. The other pc's is connected, adsal connected, every thing is fine, except the scales, which shows offline. The when I switch the router on the scale end off and on again, the scales show online again. Once I've sent the new prices they all "die" again, and shows offline.

Can this be a setting on the pc that went wrong, or on the scales?, Or maybe the roter gone bad?

Thanks

This thread is old already, but maybe reviving it will help?

Anyone have an idea on why my router just goes into "dead mode"? I'm using teamviewer, and needs to connect from work to my home pc a lot, and it all helps nothing, if just keeps on happening.

The last time, think it was this weekend, it happened again. The router's light were all just static, not a blink. Then I restart it, and all is well again.

Pls anyone who can guide me?

Thanks

Have you tried flashing new firmware to the router? If the problem persists then it's very likely that the router might have a hardware fault, and it might be time to replace it.

You haven't mentioned what router it is...

Just read the setup in the OP. Are you sure you've configured the second router correctly? In other words the second router's DHCP is switched off and it's IP is within the subnet range of the main router. If the DHCP server on the second router is still on then it is probably the cause of the issues...

Hi, I didn't flash a router before, its a telkom billion 400g router.

Sorry, you know what I didn't read my own original post, sorry about that. That I solved, ended up buying a new router, and the problem was gone.

This is a problem I have at home, with my home pc connected to the Telkom billion modem/router.

Sorry about this, I just saw the thread title I started, and thought it was for my home pc.

Guess its time to go to bed?....
