Hi all,

My work is in need of another network support engineer - mid-senior level.

This role is predominantly field based, so travel to and from clients will be part of it. You will be reimbursed for these travels.
We need someone that is mid to senior level as we need to hit the ground running sooner rather than later.

It is an amazing job - it is never boring, and there is much to learn. Training will be provided and you will be part of the senior team. What you don't know, we will teach you. But the more you know, the better your chances.

This is JHB based as our offices are down the road from Rosebank mall. If you are not in JHB, please don't apply. We are in need of someone asap.

Salary is negotiable

Please send me a PM and I will give you my mail address. We need a CV and cover letter.

What we need from you minimum:

Client satisfaction is important - you will be dealing with clients directly.
Confidence and willingness to learn
Own transport & mobile

CCNA level networking experience
- experience with VLANs, M/R STP, multilayer switching, network design
- predominantly switching - core and distribution layers
- wireless and wifi experience

Voice experience
- understanding of basic VOIP and SIP

Security experience
- knowledge and experience with firewalls
- knowledge of IDS/IPS
- experience with UTMs

Other
This is a networking company - so all things networking: switches, routers, voice, security, CCTV, etc.
Some server experience will be beneficial

It is a multi-vendor company, so experience with these brands will be beneficial:
HP, Netgear, SNOM, Mitel, Extreme, Enterasys, Cyberoam, Sophos, Patton, Sangoma

We are not too fussed about certifications - if you can do the job, you can do it - paper knowledge means very little in this industry as hands-on is important. It is a good indication of knowledge and will help.
