Yes, the atmosphere has a lot of water in it. Again, a change in temperature can cause the moisture to condense.

As you know, water itself is a very weak conductor of electricity. It is the impurities in water that conduct electricity, resulting in shortcircuits. Not the H2O itself.

I have seen a PC run underwater. Pure, distilled and deionised water. Ordinary tap water is choc-full of minerals and is ionised, so should never be brought anywhere near electricity.

have you tried powerline networking


Not personally but from what I read it's quite hit and miss, works great for some and not for others.
To run Ethernet cable threw my home with points in most rooms will be cheaper than to try and achieve the same with powerline adaptors.
