I'm in a bit of a muddle trying to get ICS working on a shared cellular connection. Option Nozomi with VM sim running GPRS Only connection.

Seemed so much simpler with ADSL making PPPOE connection and then setting each PC up for DHCP connection to the router / hub.

ICS / Internet Connection Sharing in XP is giving me grey hairs. I have an existing 802 / LAN hub which I wish to use, but it is not coming together.

The main computer can connect to the Internet, but the other 2 are NO GO.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong ?

I searched the forum but could not find anything usefull, enlighten me if I am wrong.

I had a similar problem. You must disable DHCP on your router/hub. The PC that connects to the internet becomes the DHCP server and it allocates IP addresses in the range 192.168.0.xxx. You will see that the ICS PC uses 192.168.0.1 which it specifies in the TCP/IP settings. The other PC's should be set to obtain IP addresses automatically.

I assume you have ticked the box under Internet Connection Sharing and selected the right network connection.

Also try disabling all the firewalls - Windows and any others that might be running. You can put these back once your connection works

Hope that helps
