Networking Dilemma

Hey guys,

So here's my problem. I need to connect to the internet on my laptop, however i have to route through another pc's network card. now the problem is, both of the pc's network cards are connected to their respective counterparts fine, but the internet doesn't work on either of them. Now I figure this is purely a windows network management failure. Soooo can anyone tell me if it's possible to get this to work without having to create custom routing tables. Or atleast an easier way?

Buy a R100 8-port switch, connect the network cables to that and enable internet coonection sharing on the desktop PC?

Alright no worries guys, I found a thing for this. You have to activate ics on the nic connected to the router
