Hi guys,

I have a laptop, that is configured for a company network (Domain). Now, I need to share files between my home pc's and this laptop, but obviously the home network is workgroup based. Because of this the pc's refuse to "see" each other. Is there any way to get the laptop to join the workgroup, without touching any of the domain settings?

Is there any way I can get around this "minor irritation"?

Thx in advance...

just type in the ip address of the pc you want to connect to in windows explorer (\\*.*.*.*), you should be able to access all the shared folders without hassle..
(you can get the ip address by doing start > run > cmd > ipconfig)

ah, ok was just a glitch in the 'doze networking matrix ;)

First tried to access the workgroup from the laptop, and didnt find anything, but then I managed to access the laptop from the desktop, and after that it came alive..

both can now see each other, and transfer files and all :)
