Hi Guys,

I have a problem, a client replaced 2 Windows 7 computers with 2 new Windows 10 computers but they are Home versions and the Server is 7 professional. The Windows 10 PC's detect the server but they cannot access any files, i assume they are using a Domain but im not sure as im very new to networking. any advice will be much appreciated.

You have a server that is Windows 7 Professional? That is not a server release. Are you working in a workgroup? They cant be on a domain if you are using Windows 7. It is desktop operating system and not a server platform.

Windows 7 Professional
So if you are on a workgroup make sure they are all on the same workgroup name to start. Make sure file and printer sharing is enabled on the Windows 10 PC.
Give it time once they have rebooted and see if they can see each other under windows explorer under then network environment.

also! the server says "Network 4" but the new windows 10 pc states "Network 2" and you cannot change anything on it
