Hey ppl....

this is my setup, Netgear DG834GT (in bridged mode) router. All PC's IP addresses are manually configured.

(ROUTER)___________________VISTA PC
||___________LAPTOP
|
|
|
XP PC (wireless)

The problem is that the XP PC and VISTA PC cannot connect to each other.
I connect the LAPTOP (also XP) to the router via cable, with the same firewall (eset smart security [same settings on all computers]) as both the XP and the VISTA pc's, and the LAPTOP can see and connect to the VISTA PC and vice versa.

the VISTA PC cannot connect to the XP PC. However, once i installed the LLTD protocol on the XP PC it was visible from the VISTA PC, in the 'network map' feature of vista. But it cannot be clicked or explored.

All the PCs are part of the same workgroup, and the wizard has been run on the xp computer a few times. windows firewall is disabled.
ALl the PCs can ping each other via IP address
File sharing is enabled on all PCs...simple file sharing. password sharing disabled on vista.

i installed the "NWlink/IPX/Netbios protocol" on the XP PC,as i read it may solve the problem, but it stil cannot connect to the laptop or the vista PC.

ANother wierd problem is that the on the XP PC, when i click view workgroup computers, it doesnt show anything at all.

ideas??
