I need to connect 3 D-LINK DSG-1024D routers to each other, how can I connect them so that I have the fastest connection possible?

I'm assuming you meant the D-Link DGS-1024D?

I'm not a network wizz, but as far a I know a star topology remains the fastest. So basically all you'll need to do is connect switch 1 and 2 to switch 3. If you have any servers running, they should also connect to switch 3.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you might 'maybe' gain a bit more interconnectivity if you connect switch 1 to switch 2 as well.. Then PC's on switches 1 and 2 will connect to each other quicker if they don't need to communicate through the servers on switch 3.

Basically:

1 -> 3
2 -> 3
Servers -> 3

Optional:

1-> 2

I cringe at your use of terminology. These devices are switches, routers are something else completely.

Stacking these 3 switches will give you 68 usable ports.
Having 67 computers and 1 server attached will create a bottleneck at the port going to the server. ie. 67 computers bandwidth requirements going through 1 port to the server ( 1000Mbps at server port connection / 67 computers = +/-15Mbps per computer attached)

IMHO if all the connected computers are going to access the server at the same time, its gonna be slow, equivalent to a 10Mbps network.
