and I want to do everything I can to assist you in this matter.
Your request has been forwarded to our Customer Satisfaction department.
Network Solutions is a domain name registrar and not an ISP. We do not hack personal machines.
Often, software firewalls will alert you of a scan of your computer for a port left open by a backdoor/sub 7 Trojan horse, however that does not mean your computer has been effected.
Please take the offending IP address and place it into www.arin.net/whois to find out whom the ISP or owner of the block is
Firstly, I no longer recommend NS as a registrar, not only are they overpriced, their "Customer Service" stinks of the ripest manure you ever had the misfortune of whiffing.
I won't bore you with the details of my 2 week long problem repeatedly caused by NS themselves (unless you really want to know).
The only reason I went with NS for several domains, is they have a rather nice Domain/Account/User management interface, well in theory until it kicks you in the bollocks.
By now you know, I am well pissed-off, enough to tell this tale to those bored enough to read it.
I received an email from NS, inviting me to comment and give feedback, so I decided to make a point of complaining about their site constantly attempting to download DoubleClick software on my PC, which I regard as being adware, and is auto-blocked by SpyBot SD.
Above is a reply I received this evening, going on about ports, firewalls, ISPs that hack into your PC.
I wish my web-feedback had instead been routed to the Customer Disatisfaction department. In my web-feedback, I never even mentioned the word 'hack'.
Basically NS attempted to side-step the whole issue of DoubleClick.
So, this is a warning to the unwise, don't register domains with NS unless you want the same treatment.
