After some feedback from Solar Assistant I changed the Grid Connection from Auto Detect to CT clamp installed.

The Grid power, Grid power LD and Grid power CT values look like this now.

And MQTT picks up the power back fed via the inverter as non essential load.

So it looks to be working as it should now but I'll keep an eye on things.

Yes, I tested using the underfloor heating in our one son's bedroom, it still seems too much as it should only be around 1000W.

I just checked my records, I have 1500W listed for that son's bedroom, our other son's bedroom is 1000W.

Batteries made it to 91% before being held there from 16:00 to 22:00.

The solar is impressive

I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of PV generation, we are past the shortest days of the year but looking at the same day last year we only managed 25.6 kWh via PV.

I am being conservatively safe at the moment, partly due to running electrical heaters overnight for our boys and partly due to issues in the area which have seen our mains supply drop a few times in the last week or two.

So that when there’s no grid, there’s battery. Besides, who says he’s using grid when battery is at 91%?

I am using grid, a lot less than we use to as we run on battery from 22:00 until there is enough PV the next morning.

And what does that tell you about the battery relative to it?

Nothing, I just listened to @Neuk_ telling me so. You can see though that battery took 16kWh, so could have saved 12kWh of grid and just put 4kWh into battery.

The only thing I noticed in this comment is that someone listened to me so that is my day done.

Managed 51.8 kWh via PV yesterday, I checked our records and the record on our last system was 51 kWh, in summer though.
