Neuralink now accepting human trial patients

Neuralink Corp., the brain implant startup led by billionaire Elon Musk, is recruiting patients for a clinical trial, a long-awaited step that brings the science fiction-esque technology closer to human reality.

In a blog post, the company said it was recruiting patients with quadriplegia due to cervical spinal cord injury or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) for the trial.

I volunteer our leaders. Cele you are next.

Well

quadriplegia due to cervical spinal cord injury

If I was in their shoes, I might just grab onto any little thread of hope. I would prefer that thread of hope come from virtually anywhere than Musk though. His fail and fix cowboy style of development isn't welcome anywhere near my brain.

If I'm a quadriplegic, sign me up. Everything that could have gone wrong already has.

Might want to think on that a bit ... but not too long!

Beats being a quad.
