Neutral Wire

Opened this thread and decided to check my light switch.

No idea what's going on and if there's a neutral wire in here and what the black wire is for.

This is the single light switch in my bedroom.

looks pretty normal, often it is just this without the neutrals, and sometimes the other reds can be blue/white/black/grey

Well I recently purchased the house and guessing everything was signed off as ok but by the looks of it I might have to get my own electrician to come and do a full sweep.
rather be safe than sorry to be honest.
Any recommendations of an electrician that won’t use short cuts?

it is really hard to see what is going on there with those angles, but imo you have no neutral there.
I was afraid to pull out more than that to take a proper shot. I’m not that affair with electrical and didn’t wanna break anything

From what I can see, red is live in, white is live out and blue is neutral though if it were my place, I would confirm with a multimeter. Even if it should be a certain way, there's a chance it was wired I correctly.
A pic of the front of the switch plate would be helpful too - just to see the orientation of the switches.
That blue wire could actually be live out for the third switch

*Edit* in second thoughts, I'd say it appears blue is the third live out (not neutral).

That’s the front of the switch

compliance only means so much, i.e they dont have to open every light switch or inspect every joint etc, so while things might seem shoddy if the switch and light fitting were earthed and the breaker rating is fine etc it is "compliant"

yep you definitely have no neutral, that red coming in is the hot wire, it is bridged to all switches on one pole. The whites and blue are the hot to the lights when it gets switched. you will need to pull a new wire if you want neutral there.

edit: i see no earth, and that is a metal light switch, so either it just isn't in the picture or you might have metal conduit acting as the earth, or of course the COC could have been dodgy.

edit again: i beleive some are just leaving their light switch on constantly and installing the device in the light fitting... i'm not sure how i feel about it or how compliant it is but overall i guess it cant be that bad?
