Never Been This Pissed!

You can recharge from any ABSA, FNB or NEDBANK atm. The sims and recharge vouchers are available from Woolworths, Clicks and musica, aswell as selected Virgin Actives and VM stores.

It says all that on the VM t.v ad :)

Must you be an ABSA customer to use this facility at their ATM or can I use my Standard Bank card on the absa atm to get the recharge voucher?

Or phone 123 from your vm phone if you have a credit card and give them you credit card details. Then you can purchase airtime from your phone securely.

Thanks - will follow that route....

Only connect via GPRS on the laptop though... can't believe it!! no 3g, HSDPA, EDGE from ANY of the networks in this flat spot I'm staying at. The EDGE and 3G signals stop a block from my house.:(

Sorry for the late reply, forgot about this thread. I'm a standard bank customer and recently recharged my VM at a Nedbank atm, it doesn't matter what bank you use. When you insert the card, choose the prepaid option, then choose Virgin, then choose the amount (it starts at R50 - R500), then it will ask you for a ten digit number, this is where you enter the cellphone number you want to recharge, ie. your VM number. Complete the transaction and you will receive a sms saying that you have recharged. I also thought that it would print out a recharge voucher, but the whole process is done on the atm.

Teraside, hi, I am also a Std B customer, I generally avoid other bank's ATMs because of the additional fees - how much did you have to pay to do the transaction on the Nedbank ATM, please?
Thanks

I checked out my Internet banking statement, it looks like it counts the prepaid recharge as a cash withdrawl, it seems to be R6.70 for the "other bank ATM fee"
