Mistake of my life.

Sunnyside Pretoria.
Even with perpetual download, I doubt if you will be able to download more than 2Gig per month with Neotel’s Lite. They make sure you don’t, can’t and won’t and then happily charge you R490 for what Neotel calls….. drumroll… UNLIMITED… DATA.

Been like this for 3 months, and here is the proof… the last two days...

Told ya... 3 to (if u lucky) 6 Mbytes/sec

LOOK, LEARN, KNOW….

That is slow - I have the same package 13kb-17kb and average 15kb /s. Download 1.1GB to 1.3GB a day. Dude check the reception in your area ;)

3 to 6 MB /sec would make me real happy... but if you expected that speeds you are on the wrong package (or country for that matter) ;)

I also average 15kB/s with Neotel Lite and regularly have it full throttle..

Like HTP said check your signal and maybe ask the rep if there's any issues in Sunnyside :)

wow iv never seen speeds that low in a long time seems iv have to stick with Telkom:(

Speed

Sorry u r right.. the reading is 3 to 6 kbytes per sekond, and not Mbytes per second... (yeh if only)
Problem is... I sometimes get time out on the speedtest... oh boy..

Have you considered that it may be your actual device thats the problem maybe you should exchange your device for another one

I do get spikes up to 163.. miracles... and that would be for about 10 min..
86-163-86-163 and so on. then back to slow... and v..e..r..y.. slow again.
Signal strength is full. calls are good.. I can commend them for that.
so somehow they would open up a link when you call, clear line, and when you go back... eish..

Intermittedly I disconnect, and reconnect, good for about 5min, down again... so it seems like overpopulation of the bandwidth during normal traffic.

I will consider that if I somehow get the chance to test it in my area... moving to Faerie Glen in Pta. Too late if I get the contract, and it is not good... sort of?

you could phone them and ask them but I doubt it try going to one of the other forums and finding out what other users have experienced with prime
