After getting used to a 15Mbps Internet connection, I get impatient when a Web site loads slowly.

Speaking of good news, I always enjoy hearing about technologies that are available in other parts of the world. Michael N. from Sweden wrote to us that he is able to get a 100 Mbps fiber optic Internet connection for about $25/month. The downside is that he had to pay $2000 to get the fiber run to the house (with a $500 tax rebate afterward), but once it's in, wow! Let's just hope similar service at a comparable price reaches the U.S. sometime in the near future.
