New 10 Man Raiding guild

Hi Guys. I'm busy starting a raiding guild on EU-PVP-Bladefist

I come from a very successful 25 man raiding guild (Velocity) on EU-PVE-Terenas.

Due to high latency (420ms) on the server me and a few buddies have decided to move to a server with a lower population with around (270ms). Most of us are using Axxess unshaped.

The reason why we want to focus just on 10 man for now is because as u know it’s hard to just get 30+ people to join a new guild. We hoping to start out with 10 man but focus on the Hard modes.

We are about 6 at the moment but ideally would need about 15 people online all the time to be able to be successful. If the response I get from here is good though then 25 man raids may be on the horizon.

I'm hoping to convince some existing SA players who is not currently in a good raiding guild that want to do something other than just questing or hanging around at the AH.

The guild (velocity) that my main is currently still on is ranked 7th on our server (Terenas). What I want for this new guild is to be the number one 10 man raiding guild on Bladefist.

Ideally I’m looking for players aged 18 and over who would like to raid at least 4 out of 7 nights. You don't really need to have the gear we can get that easy enough. If you have not raided before it is a good experience and i'm sure will be a great place to start.

420ms is still perfectly playable :rolleyes:
 
2 Questions :

1. What are your expected raiding start and end times ?
2. I'm guessing that you expect people to transfer a lvl 80 character, instead of leveling up ?
 
Hi m8. thanks for your interest. most of the current people who are interested work and have families so we hoping to start at promptly at 8:30 till 12 for the latest.

with regards to the leveling.. at the moment we looking for level 80s to get cracking with heroics and raids as soon as possible.. Ice crown is around the corner :-)
 
My guild is rated like in the 400's in europe.. and i play with 800ms lats :S so reaaaaally consider urself lucky
 
I'd die if I have to raid @ 800ms. That just will not go down in hm's. Can't heal like that. I need 300ms and I get that with upcapped + proxies when I raid seriously.

That said Sylvanas (where I play) is heavily overpopulated. Most of the serious guilds on there clear on Wednesday & Thursday as most of the time its a risk to do progress runs on those days.

The thing that pisses me off is you always see people comming on the Sylvanas forums asking about the server cause they are transferring! Even full guilds move over as a whole :(
Even nowadays you get a 200 queue some days if u log in @ 8, imagine how that will be when 3.3 comes :(

BUT while the latency on full or overpopulated servers might sux they are awesome in other areas. There is actually always ppl around for anything from world pvp, bg's, pugs, hm pugs and such.

While servers like Bladefist might have great latency the whole wow experience sux way more on them.

You have comments like this on its forum:

"Out of pure curiosity, im just wondering how many ppl would be interested in some kind of 'free migration' from this server, and complete shut down of the server, as it is probably the worst server in the world atm...
Can we ask blizzard for something like that at all?
Seeing that Cathedral is leaving aswell, bad just got worse...and i know im speaking for most ppl when i say 'we want out of here'!
And many of us have more than 1 charachter here, so paid transfer might be too much to handle for ppl.... "
