Hi guys,

My Telkom adsl router is staring to give me troubles, so i need a replacement for it. I have a telkom adsl 384kbps line and the Telkom awr200 or something router. I think the onboard memory chips are starting to give in because it takes ages to write to them when i switch between my accounts. And most of the time i just get no response at all. I have no idea at what routers to look at, so help would be greatly appreciated. I've heard the netgear routers are quite good? I don't want to spend a fortune, but want something decent. Thanks

So are the D-Link and the Linksys. How much do you want to spend on a router?

I have one of those as well. Have had it for several years now and no hassles. Good price too. :)

yeah i def need a wireless one. I was looking at speding R500-R1000 where less is better.lol. Was quite shocked to see the netgear router i had in mind at incredible for R1200! But it looks the same as the one above at zaps for R614, not sure about model number etc.

Eish... that's IC for you. That R1200 price is from maybe 6 years ago. It's a shame to think there are people out there willing to let themselves get ripped off like that.

However, note that there's a 54Mbit and 108MBit wireless version. Either one is fine though.
