I am running a P4 system with an AGP slot on my home pc and want to upgrade the graphics card as Im not in the market for a new pc yet.
I can get cards from the UK, but need advice on which one.
The two cards are priced exactly the same at ₤40 each.
1. Inno3D 7600GS 256MB DDR2 DVI VGA TV Out AGP Graphics Card
2. Sapphire X1650 PRO 512MB DDR2 DVI HDCP TV Out AGP Graphics Card
The only major difference, apart from the RAM, on these two cards are that the ATI has a clock speed of 600mhz and the Nvidia 400Mhz. But I am curious to the fact why they are priced exactly the same? I have always been a fan of Nvidia, but Im looking for the best bang for buck in this case. My major use for the card will be to play Flight Simulator, dont play any other games on PC.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'd say go with the ATI. To me it looks like you're getting a little more for you buck. Check out what the others say as well

Great guys, thanks for the advice. So you say that even if the Nvidia has lower specs, I should choose it over the ATI? Im upgrading from a Nvidia FX5900XT 128MB DDR, so I should be able to tell the difference....;)

I can't remember how the 5900 was but I do know the 5950 would beat an ATI 1650 with its hands tied behind its back.

Go with the Nvidia. It is more expensive than its ATI equivalent but is actually worth itself in performance

You sure that you don't want to save up for the next major upgrade? Buying an AGP card at the moment is less than ideal...

Dude that's over R600 without postage or VAT. (I'm assuming you having it shipped to SA and not brought over by a friend) Add customs and postage and you looking at around R800. I'd wait to upgrade my whole system at that price.
You can pick up an Nvidia 8600 DX10 card for that.
