Hey,

My app just got published to the store.

Its a little utility app helping you to keep track of your municipal meter readings. Will update it a bit more over the next few weeks, but at least the basic version is out the now.

Just a few notes:
  • Only Available in RSA store
  • Windows Phone 8.1 only

Anyways, if you can try it out and give some feedback it would be great. Will redo the property info page with the next update or so. Thought of a better way to do that in the last day or so, but first wanted to get the initial version out.

If I remember correctly, windows phone market share in SA is currently 8%, not the best platform for apps atm?

Great to see more and more local app developers publishing WP apps.

iOS coming soon right? :D

And waiting for an Android version here :)

Please consider Android. Theres a lot of us.

Why oh Why no Android - Why Windows :(

Maybe you guys should get a Windows Phone as your next phone then? :p

Out of interest where is the user data stored?
On the device using SQLite. In the Roaming folder. Looking at a Windows 8 app also a little later on.

For Android... I am considering getting a license for Xamarin for Android to help out with this.

I have a prepaid electricity meter and thus no actual meter reading, so cannot use the app.

Can you allow us to enter the date of electricity purchase, units purchased and cost?

Would also be nice to have a graph of average electricty / water cost per month.

No need to worry. Just make use if MsExcel on your PC setting up the necessary input fields plus functions and formula with average graphs etc. and upload to OneDrive to make use of your OfficeHub on your phone. I use this for our prepaid setup. Try it!

Too lazy

I'll just wait for MielieSpoor to update the app. ;)

BTW, I have a nice app which I use every time I put fuel in my car: Clarus Mileage+. Has not been updated for a looong time, but does the job.

That is actually a nice idea. Didn't really think of that situation as I don't have prepaid electricity. Will try and do that as soon as possible. Will bump it up on the backlog.

Yes, that does also work but I just got tired of my spreadsheet and started with the app. For me personally, my apps works a lot easier than Excel. Been using it while developing now for a few months. But as they say - each to his own. I do however keep my spreadsheet updated just for incase. I doubt that I will do that for too much longer though.

Thanks MielieSpoor, appreciate the efforts.

With Eskom and certain non-Cape Town municipalities, the app may be too late! :)

A previous update added the ability to track stats for prepaid electrcity meters.

App has just been updated with the ability to backup to OneDrive.

Just one or two little bugs requiring correcting, but this app is turing into a very useful source of electricity consumption. :)
