New AV

So, new AV is out, it had its first weekend, and some of you have experienced it.
How do you find it, after the patch? Is it dead now, or do you feel some new blood have been pumped into it?

Personaly I hate it now, maybe because its not an Aliance walkover anymore, or maybe because there is more n00bs in there now to test it...
The first couple of games Alliance still won easily with almost all towers in tackt, but from there it was all down hill and I lost the next 10 games in a row.

Only good thing about AV is all the Aliance n00bs have left WSG and AB for now and Aliance is winning those :D

Be honest. It's more fair now ;)

The scoring system worst very good... It actually gets the Horde from farming honor to play for the win instead. Allies only ever won AV because horde was farming honor, Yes you know it's true :D

O and no more 3 hour AV sessions :D :D
 
the other night i managed to get into ally base/capture both towers without a single death because the lag was so bad.
 
Yes also notice the Lag problems yesterday, getting hit by people on the other side of the BG

Not sure on whether its better or worse, at least there is an end in sight for the stale mate games which is a relief and seem to be getting more honor per time played.
 
Yea its more Fair :D

No more 10 min games rusing to the other side... Though on a AV weekend the honor was a lot higher back then :D

I do miss the epic 24hour AV runs though :D The First AV on my server took 36 hours to complete! I was in there for 8 hours straight! The last 8 hours I have to add :D
Back then it took several hours to summon your Hero and there were Boss mobs in the middle of the field to kill. It prob was more of an PVE Aliance VS Horde battle, now its pure PvP... Still remember the Flying troops? the Wolf runners? Co-ordinated 5 mage aoe attacks?

Guess I have been part of this game way to long already :D
 
Oh man... that horde flying elite... wat was his name, he used to 2-3shot players

our battlegroup has Korgall... rumors has it that they the best pvpers

scariest sight pre-tbc ive come across:
t3 tauren with thunderfury.... 8k hp, had a team of 8 healers behind him
omfg he literally was unstoppable
 
T3 was tanking gear, but yes, I guess people probably wanted to kill him cause he looked mean -.-

About the new AV, I think it's just a matter of time until the Alliance understand the new tower concept and nerfed Drek. I cringe when I see players trying to pull the warmasters out and kill them outside >.<

In my experience, if you lose an AV, don't queue for a few minutes. Let the losers play with each other and wait till you get into a group who knows what to do. Then it becomes like a honor train - you queue up with people who know how to play and then you tend to play with most of them for the next game etc.

AV is still my favourite BG - there are a lot of strategies to employ and you also have some really fantastic 1v1 encounters :D
 
Im happy that there is actual pvp in AV again...it used to irritate me when I finish winning an AV with no kills...letting alliance past so the Offense could get to Vann faster...now its kill on sight alliance again...we got people thinking and organising defence...we have pitched battles for towers in cramp spaces outnumbered or outnumbering...its SO much fun...until some twat says "why are all the noobs on D?" then I just shake my head and continue cyclone spamming;)
