New AXXESS pricing?

Hi all,

Has anyone heard anything further in regards to Axxess's proposed pricing for January 2006? They're rather quiet in the forum arena. Also, how many times has their whacky pictures competition been postponed?

I think they're dying out quite quickly.

Customer service usually go down the tubes once you get the said customer's money...

It's kinda sad driving by one of their internet cafes and see no advertising on the windows anymore. Also I dont notice that merc with the 30gig advertising plastered all over it outside anymore.

Telkom can definetly make or break a company.

I only know the one down at humerail. Parked in front of it Sunday to pick up some takeaway from 777 and didnt notice any advertising either - at least nothing that jumped out at me.

Funny. I have been in Jhb(Midrand) for the past month and have seen the Axxess car driving around a few times. Me thinks they are moving the HQ to Jhb. Makes better sense than having it in PE.

Makes no sense to me - use local loyalty to an advantage and lock up the local market. I know of several people who stuck with axxess after 1/11 despite their prices only because they're a local company.

yeah I stuck with them as well... their prices arent great though, might have to drop them if they cant at least do 349 for 10 gb...

Just dropped them. Been paying for an unshaped account with the same, if not worse performace as a shaped account. I don't know how many e-mails I've sent, phonecalls I've made. Enough is enough. OpenWeb here I come .

My sister accidentally dialed my friends old AXXESS account (an account that in theory should no longer exist) the other day (my friend used it on his dsl and I used it on my ISDN), and it went through. My friend then got a bill for a 30 gig account even though we cancelled the account early october. He phoned the next day and shat them out...pity, they were really good in their day, fast friendly service.

The high end market is quite hard to compete in... dunno if axxess will recover soon. Think openweb is a much better option atm ... I haven't had problems with their service at all...
